Sundays

Every week at our 11 service there is provision for kids (3-11) and youth (11-16).
Kids are split into different age groups and do crafts, get messy, play games, hear stories and have fun. Whether that is trying to build an ark out of cardboard and painting their faces as different animals or learning about Jesus walking on water and trying not to get their feet too wet, we want kids to associate church with fun, safety and friendship. Our team tries to work with every child to help them flourish.
Youth often start their time together with pastries, doughnuts or other snacks. They play games, have real and honest conversations about life and faith and pray together in a variety of ways. Being a young person in today’s world is tough and we want to walk alongside these wonderful young people and cheer them on as much as possible.
At CCS our smaller minis (0-2) have a space at the back of church with mats and toys. They are welcome to crawl around, make noise, and be themselves during a service. We are not a quiet church and you won’t be glared at if your child makes a sound.

Friday Youth
As well as Sundays, we run a youth group called “Friday Night Hangouts” unsurprisingly every Friday during term time for young people in secondary school (School Years 7 to 11). There are a whole bunch of 11-16s who come every week (some from church, some not) to play dodgeball, eat sweets, hear some bad jokes and engage in short talks about different topics. We try and be a safe space on a Friday evening where youth can hang out, make friends and get to know some leaders.
