CCS Youth
There is youth provision every other week for young people in year 7-year 11. This starts after the first worship song in church as we want the young people to understand that they are a part of the wider church family. When the young people come together, they are hanging out whilst exploring the bible, understanding Gods love for them personally and for each person in the world, discovering who they are in Jesus, and understanding that they can make a difference in this world through the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this informally through games, videos, bible study, teaching, prayer, discussion times.
The other weeks, the young people are given the opportunity to serve in an area of ministry they are interested in; e.g., tech, sound, kids, welcome, etc.
We have CCS Youth Hangouts on certain Fridays. This is where we hang out together, playing games, having fun, a packed tuck shop, and a great place to chat. This is for young people in year 7-11, 7-8.30pm, at Christ Church, on Fridays.
CCS Kids
There is a weekly kids church for children that are in the last year of nursery up to year 6. This starts after the first worship song in the main service, as we want the children to understand that they are a part of the wider church family. We have loads of fun whilst we explore God’s love, Jesus’ life, listen to the Holy Spirit, and build community for that age group. We do this through games, videos, bible study, worship, teaching, weekly challenges, prayer, and discussion times.
CCS Minis
There is an area at the back of the main worship space where children aged 0-4 can play with toys, read, and interact with other children their age. A parent/carer needs to accompany the child, but you will still be an active part of the service, being in the same service space. We don’t mind children exploring the space and making noise- they’re children and we expect that. But if you do need to take your child out for a bit, there is a small room where you can still see into the church and has audio of the service. Again, meaning that you don’t miss out and you and the child feel comfortable.
CCS Families
We love to have times where we come together for multi-generational get togethers. These happen a couple of times a term where we have a picnic together, fun and games, activities for all ages, which are all based around a theme that is suitable for the time of the year or a passion that all ages have.
All our leaders are safely recruited. They are identifiable through either a t-shirt or lanyard with the corresponding ministry area they serve in. If you have any questions or would like more information, please email the church office at: office@christchurchsouthport.org.uk
